By applying to, enrolling in, or participating in any programme, service, or activity offered by Solace Egypt, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms are intended to be read together with the information shown on our website, your application form, and any programme specific details we provide before confirmation. If anything is unclear, contact us before you apply or pay.
Solace Egypt provides educational coordination, accommodation coordination, logistical support, and cultural facilitation services for students studying Arabic and Qur’an in Egypt. In plain terms, we help you plan and arrange your experience, connect you to relevant third party providers, and support you with onboarding and practical guidance.
Solace Egypt is not a travel agency, medical provider, insurer, security service, or legal authority. Where we recommend, introduce, or coordinate third parties, we do so as a facilitator. You are entering into separate arrangements with any third party provider (such as accommodation, transport, teachers, or venues) and those providers may have their own terms.
We may also provide general information about Egypt and living arrangements, but this does not constitute legal advice, medical advice, immigration advice, or professional counselling. You remain responsible for verifying that any arrangement suits your needs and complies with your personal circumstances.
You acknowledge and accept that participation in programmes in Egypt involves inherent risks. These can include travel related risks, health risks, accidents or injuries, crime or theft, political, social, or environmental conditions, transportation incidents, and acts or omissions of third parties.
By participating, you voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks, known and unknown, associated with your travel, stay, and activities in Egypt. This includes risk arising from choices you make, places you visit, and the conduct of other participants or providers.
You are responsible for taking sensible precautions, including securing valuables, following local laws, checking official travel guidance, and obtaining any insurance you consider appropriate. If you have any medical conditions, mobility constraints, or safeguarding needs, you must inform us as part of your application so we can advise whether the programme is suitable and what additional steps may be needed.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solace Egypt, its founders, team members, volunteers, partners, and affiliates shall not be held liable for personal injury, illness, disability, or death, loss, theft, or damage to personal property, or delays, cancellations, or changes to programmes.
We are also not liable for the actions or negligence of third party providers (including accommodation, transport, teachers, or venues). Where we assist you, our role is logistical and supportive rather than supervisory. You acknowledge that we do not control how third parties perform their services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited, or for fraud. Any liability that does exist (to the extent it is legally permitted) is limited to the amount you paid directly to Solace Egypt for the relevant programme services.
You confirm that you are medically fit to travel and participate. You are responsible for your own medical insurance and any required vaccinations, medications, or medical equipment. Solace Egypt does not provide medical insurance and does not provide medical advice.
If you become ill or injured, we may assist with practical logistical support, such as helping you locate medical facilities, assisting with transport arrangements, or contacting emergency contacts where appropriate. However, we bear no financial or legal responsibility for medical treatment, outcomes, diagnosis, or the actions of medical professionals.
You must disclose relevant medical conditions and accessibility needs during the application process. Failure to disclose material information may affect safety planning and may result in refusal, removal, or inability to continue participation.
Accommodation, classes, transport, excursions, and other services may be provided by independent third parties. Solace Egypt does not own or control these providers, is not liable for their conduct, safety standards, or service quality, and acts solely as a coordinator where applicable.
We aim to choose providers with appropriate experience and local credibility, but you accept that service standards, cultural norms, and infrastructure may differ from what you are used to. Any disputes arising from third party services are primarily between you and the provider.
Where we collect funds for accommodation or services that are passed to third parties, we will make reasonable efforts to clarify what is included, what is excluded, and what is refundable or non-refundable. Certain deposits or fees may be non-refundable due to third party policies.
You agree to respect local laws, customs, and cultural norms. You also agree to conduct yourself in a manner consistent with Islamic etiquette and community values, and to follow programme guidelines and safety instructions provided by Solace Egypt or applicable third parties.
Conduct that is disruptive, unsafe, unlawful, harassing, threatening, or damaging to others or to the reputation of the programme may result in removal. Solace Egypt reserves the right to remove any participant from the programme without refund where behaviour endangers themselves, others, or the programme’s standing.
Where removal is required, you remain responsible for your own onward travel, accommodation, and related costs. We may assist with practical arrangements but we are not obliged to provide alternative accommodation or reimburse expenses.
Solace Egypt makes no guarantees regarding educational outcomes, language proficiency levels, personal or spiritual development, or visa approvals or immigration decisions. Results vary based on individual effort, attendance, study habits, prior knowledge, and external factors such as teacher availability and timetable constraints.
We may provide recommendations for study approach, resources, and routines, but any progress or outcome remains your responsibility. Where assessments or placements are done by third party teachers or institutes, their decisions are outside our control.
Any examples or testimonials you see are illustrative only and do not create a promise of similar outcomes. You agree not to rely on informal statements as guarantees, and to request written clarification if you need to rely on a specific feature or inclusion.
Solace Egypt reserves the right to adjust schedules, locations, instructors, accommodation arrangements, or activities where necessary. This can occur due to provider availability, local conditions, safety considerations, or operational improvements.
We also reserve the right to cancel or postpone programmes due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to travel disruptions, local restrictions, provider cancellations, or events that reasonably affect safety or feasibility.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate changes promptly and to offer suitable alternatives where feasible. Where an alternative is not feasible, any refund position will depend on what services have already been delivered and what third party costs are recoverable.
Places are only confirmed upon payment. Payment terms, deadlines, and what is included will be provided before confirmation. You agree to pay any required amounts on time and to provide accurate billing information.
Refunds, if applicable, are subject to programme specific policies. Certain costs may be non-refundable, including accommodation deposits, third party fees, or administrative costs already incurred. Where we can recover funds from third parties, we will make reasonable efforts to do so, but we cannot guarantee recoverability.
If you cancel, you should notify us in writing as soon as possible. If a dispute arises, we encourage good-faith resolution first. Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable UK consumer law where those rights apply and cannot be excluded.
You consent to the use of photos, videos, or testimonials captured during the programme for promotional purposes, unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing. This may include website, social media, or printed materials.
If you do not wish to be included, you must notify us before participation and, where possible, remind staff or content creators on the ground. We will make reasonable efforts to respect your preference, though we cannot guarantee the exclusion of incidental background capture in public or group settings.
You also agree not to publish content that misrepresents Solace Egypt, breaches privacy of other participants, or violates applicable law. Where concerns arise, we may request removal of content that is harmful, misleading, or unlawfully shared.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless otherwise stated. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in full force and effect. We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force is the one shown on this page at the time you apply or confirm participation.
By submitting your application and ticking the confirmation box, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions, you voluntarily accept all associated risks, and you release Solace Egypt from liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.
